Join Historic Ships in Baltimore on Saturday, December 14th at 1:00 p.m. to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the commissioning of USS Torsk! Torsk submarine was built in Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine and commissioned into the U.S. Navy on December 16, 1944. Torsk sank the last enemy vessels of WWII and after the war service, Torsk was used as a training submarine until 1968. It holds a record of over 10,000 dives.
USS Torsk 75th Anniversary Ceremony on December 14th will include a short program featuring guest speakers and offer special kids activities onboard. The Ceremony is free of charge.
Commemorative challenge coins will be available for purchase.
