Shalanda Bond Hansboro defines herself as a perpetual learner and student, instructor, performing artist, singer, songwriter, wife, mother of two beautiful girls, daughter, and friend. She is the Outreach Program Assistant and Vocal Instructor at Chesapeake Arts Center. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she began her musical studies at the Baltimore School for the Arts and went on to study Opera at The Juilliard School, obtaining a Bachelor's degree, and later a Master's from the Curtis Institute. Even though opera is her first love, she has found a true passion for jazz, R&B, and gospel music. She is thankful for every opportunity to inspire others with love, kindness, and her heartfelt joy in singing.
