About this Event
Join Monita Tequila at a Downtown Baltimore loft for an intimate evening combining art, cocktails, and community care. Monita was a passionate advocate for missing Black men, women, children. She used her social media following to amplify the stories of missing women and children in MD and often connected with those families to offer support. I can’t think of a better way to honor her this year than to raise funds for Black and Missing Foundation, the leading organization supporting the Black community when a loved one goes missing. As an offering from the owner, this fundraiser will also support the Lama Relief Group providing children’s clothes, food, and temporary housing in Gaza started by 10 year old Palestinian journalist Lama Jamous. 100% of the proceeds from each painting will be donated to both.
There will be 20 original paintings all done by an artist collective in Accra, Ghana to choose from, you’ll be able to view the selection of paintings before the event when you purchase a ticket. The signature Monita Tequila cocktails that you’ve come to love at previous events will be included in your entry. Come expecting a great experience and leave with a Ghanaian made art piece for a good cause.
