The Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training, Inc. (MCVET) – the nation’s premier program for helping homeless veterans and veterans in need heal and achieve independence, self-sufficiency and permanent housing – invites those near and far to take part in its 2023 5K/10K Veterans Day Virtual Run & Walk.

Runners and walkers can operate at their own pace – outside or on a treadmill – alone or with a group of friends, from Nov. 9 through 11:59 p.m. EST on Nov. 13 to complete a 1-mile walk, run, or activity; 3.1 miles for the 5K or 6.2 miles for the 10K.

All participants will be automatically entered in prize drawings taking place Nov. 13 for gift cards/certificates from brand stores, hotels, restaurants and steakhouses and online merchants.

Event proceeds will help MCVET continue to provide Housing, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Counseling, Education & Employment Services, Case Management and other comprehensive services to help veterans rejoin their communities as productive citizens

The Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization established in 1993. Using a “Veterans Helping Veterans” philosophy, it has provided residential shelter and wrap around supportive services for homeless men and women veterans to over 14,000 veterans from all branches of the military, without regard to their character of service.
