Keynote from Dr. Angela Davis (10/14):

During her keynote address, moderated by Maryland Nonprofits Director of Consulting, Carmen Marshall, Dr. Davis will share her insights on issues that are top-of-mind to nonprofits leading work for social change as well as organizations waking up to their role in anti-racism. This history-making dialogue with a giant of the civil rights and feminist movements will allow us to learn from her organizing prowess, lessons learned, and sacrifices she and others made to fight for justice. All nonprofit organizations are faced with the questions of how we navigate - and more importantly how we lead - our communities through the challenges that lie ahead with the pandemic, presidential election, and civil unrest. Dr. Davis’s keynote will inspire us to seize opportunities for real, lasting change in our nation. Dr. Davis's keynote is made possible by generous sponsorships from the National Center for Children and Families and the Greater Washington Urban League.

Keynote from Leslie Crutchfield (10/15):

'How Change Happens' author Leslie Crutchfield will reveal the leadership approaches, campaign strategies, and ground-level tactics used in a range of modern change campaigns. Based on several years of research with a team of 21 staff, students, and faculty at Georgetown University’s Business for Impact team (formerly GSEI), she unearthed six key factors that explain why winning movements triumph. Crutchfield will explore how changemakers in the audience can apply these best practices to advance the causes they care about. Leslie Crutchfield's keynote address is generously sponsored by Bank of America.
