This year’s MLK celebration is especially meaningful to us at the B&O Railroad Museum, in light of our recent designation from the National Park Service as a National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Site. Special programs & activities will include a presentation by Rev. Montgomery of Baltimore’s historic Union Baptist Church, followed by a soloist performance from their choir, and concluding with our From Slavery to Civil Rights Tour. Rev. Montgomery’s presentation will discuss the “Motivation to March On” using Dr. King’s “Our God is Marching On” speech given in Selma, Alabama, on March 25, 1963. See full schedule of events below.

2-4 PM: For this celebration of MLK Jr. Day, Reverend Montgomery of Union Baptist Church will join the museum for a presentation, Motivation to March On, followed by a soloist recital from the church’s choir. This will be followed by an African American History public tour, From Slavery to Civil Rights, through the museum.
