Loyola University Maryland will hold its annual Bunting Peace and Justice Speaker Series, which brings leaders, scholars, and activists to Loyola to address timely issues at the intersection of peace and justice.
Marwan Darweish, Ph.D., will present “Nonviolent Resistance in Palestine.” He is associate professor at the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations at Coventry University in the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in civil resistance, conflict transformation, and peacebuilding across the Middle East and internationally. Darweish is co-author of “Popular Protest in Palestine: The History and Uncertain Future of Unarmed Resistance” and co-editor of “Peacebuilding and Reconciliation: Contemporary Themes and Challenges.”
