Hasan Hasanović will present “Surviving the Bosnian Genocide: Lessons from Srebrenica.” Born in Serbia, Hasan Hasanović is the head of oral history at the Srebrenica-Potočari Genocide Memorial Center in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where he shares his story of surviving the massacre of 8,000 Muslim men and boys at the hands of Bosnian Serb forces. Following the war, Hasanović worked as an interpreter for the U.S. Army and earned a degree in criminal sciences before joining the memorial center as a curator.
