 : With Flying Colors***\n\nLife is a concept as multifaceted as art and jus
 t as impossible to define. Grey ‘Look Ford’ Dylan’s series of vibrantly col
 ored paintings all basked in a supernatural light draw us into an altered u
 niverse. Exploring subjects as broad as artificial intelligence\, evolution
 \, reproduction\, spirituality\, sexuality\, decay\, and even an immortal i
 deal\, she rearranges our notions of what it means to be alive. Much of the
  work is heavily research-based\, investigating animal behaviors and scient
 ific phenomena that occur in different environments around the world. Some 
 examples of this that you can see throughout the work include adaptive radi
 ation that occurs from whale falls\, bees working together in a hive mind\,
  axolotls’ rapid regeneration and cancer immunity\, cannabis’ ability to ki
 ll cancer cells\, and chemical equilibrium that happens at death. As well a
 s researching different ecologies\, Dylan delves into some of her own exper
 iences that have played a role in her life\, from childhood to growing up i
 nto a young trans woman. Much like the futurists she creates movement withi
 n her compositions by endless line and patterning. Look Ford combines the s
 peed of graffiti with the sophistication of gallery art by spray painting a
 nd using acrylic on canvas.
