This year marks the 10th anniversary of the annual STRUT fundraiser, and the first time it will be held at the Hippodrome 

WHAT: On Saturday, March 25 from 7-10 p.m., Retailer DTLR is partnering with local nonprofit organization, AZIZA PE&CE (AP), a Baltimore based nonprofit that primarily serves girls and LGBTQ+ ages 14-24, to celebrate the 10th year of the organization’s STRUT Fashion Fundraiser. The annual event serves as AP’s primary fundraiser and features designers from all over the country, utilizing music and clothing to portray meaningful social messages to the audience, such as racial discrimination, LGBTQ+ discrimination, women's rights, and peer pressure. 

DTLR is sponsoring the event, and has partnered with the organization over the last three years, providing them with support for holidays, youth trip sponsorships, and special event support. DTLR will also provide support for the organization's newly acquired home in East Baltimore, which aims to provide safe space for our youth.

STRUT represents the journey of self-actualization youth gain over the months they have been practicing for this show and participating in the program. Participants are honored for their leadership, exemplary teaching practices, and their commitment to help the next generation gain the knowledge and skills they need for future success in a world inspired by ideas and driven by innovation.
