https://calendar.prattlibrary.org/event/bike_to_work_day_324#.ZFFuWnbMKUkAs part of The League of American Bicyclists’ Bike Month, Bike to Work Day is commemorated around the country each year.
Did you know that 40% of all trips in the U.S. are less than two miles, making bicycling a feasible and fun way to get to work, school, or your library? With increased interest in healthy, sustainable, and economic transportation options, it’s not surprising that, from 2005 to 2016, the number of bicycle commuters in the U.S. grew by 50 percent.
Central Library is hosting a pit stop in coordination with Baltimore Metropolitan Council and the Baltimore City Department of Transportation. Ride along the Cathedral Street protected bike lane during your commute to work or even the library, and stop by our table for one free cup of coffee from Ceremony Coffee Roasters, giveaways, information about upcoming events and other offerings, and enthusiastic support.
