The Natural History Society of Maryland is presenting its second annual fundraising gala on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
This year's theme is superstition! Join us to learn about the archaeology and history of superstitions in Maryland, how superstitions changed our relationships with the natural world, and how science can reveal truths more remarkable than anything even the most superstitious among us have ever imagined!
This is our one fundraiser throughout the year and it will be a terrific way to support us! Victorian costume is encouraged but not required. We guarantee you will have a lot of fun and talk to some of the most interesting people you will ever meet.
Visit with the curators, learn the science behind their collections, and get a behind the scenes tour! Enjoy light fare, beer, wine and music. Cross your fingers that you win the costume contest and get your most desired treasure at our silent auction.
Knock wood that we see you on May 11th!
