Mixolo solos are at it again. We're going back to Sofi's and we're taking over... nicely. Get out and do stuff with Mixolo. They're letting us back in the kitchen; supervised, of course, so we can see what it's like to cook up our own signature sweet and savory crepes with local favorite Sofi's Crepes on their cool industrial-size griddles.

Sofi's will provide the ingredients and fillings for our MYOC (make your own crepes) adventure, but you'll have to bring your own grapes - if that's your thing. BYOB (bring your own beverage). Your choice.

On this Sunday evening, join Mixolo as we continue our after-hours series of events at small, local restaurants that have made big contributions to Baltimore's burgeoning food economy. For this "docile" takeover, we'll gather at the Belvedere Square franchise location of Sofi's Crepes after the store closes to its regular customers and hang out in the cool space with its warm, mid-century (20th) diner vibe.

Sofi's Crepes has a Baltimore story that elevates their business model to iconic, or "lo-conic," status. Founder of the Sofi's brand, Ann Costlow, often tells how she left an unfulfilling career in finance for love. She loved cooking, and after spending some time in France, she fell in love with crepes. She named Sofi's after her beloved dog who suffered a spinal injury that paralyzed his hind legs, but not his spirit. With franchise locations in Baltimore, Baltimore County, and Anne Arundel, Sofi's is becoming a Maryland favorite.
