The Lung Cancer Research Foundation’s Baltimore Free to Breathe Yoga will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2019. The event will feature 5 consecutive hours of varied-intensity, instructor-led yoga, with each hour provided by a different local studio. While not actively practicing yoga, attendees are welcome to enjoy the concurrent “Wellness Marketplace” where local vendors and exhibitors will offer healthy food and drink for sale, as well the opportunity to enjoy massage, meditation, and more. As a special way to honor those impacted by lung cancer, participants will also have an opportunity to dedicate a hope flag to a loved one. Music, snacks, and festivities will be available for all ages to enjoy.
Hundreds of lung cancer patients, survivors and advocates from the Baltimore area will gather to raise awareness and funding for lung cancer research. Proceeds from the event support the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and its vision to create a world free of lung cancer.
There is a $50 individual registration fee for this event, and each team is responsible for raising a minimum of $1200 to participate in the yoga practice.
