2019 BALTIMORE DONUT BIKE CRAWL: A SWEET RIDE FOR EYE RESEARCH
8 1/2-mile doughnut shop crawl to raise funds for Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute
BALTIMORE -- Explore the sweet side of Charm City on a 8 1/2-mile bicycle doughnut
crawl June 8 to raise funds for pediatric ophthalmology research. Now in its third year, the
Baltimore Donut Bike Crawl -- under the banner of “Crawltimore” -- will take cyclists through
Hampden, Charles Village, Federal Hill, and Remington. Participating doughnut shops
include Diablo Doughnuts, Full Circle Doughnuts, Blondie’s Doughnuts, and Little Fig Bake
Shop. While welcoming back returning shops in Diablo & Full Circle, this year’s Donut Crawl
helps introduce Baltimore to recently-established donut purveyors Blondie’s & Little Fig,
wholesalers at their stops on the BDBC.
Held the day after National Donut Day, the event kicks off at Roosevelt Park with check-in
at 8:30 a.m. Cyclists may bring their own bikes or rent from local bike shops in Baltimore.
The cost to participate is $25, with proceeds benefiting the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye
Institute for research towards congenital glaucoma, pediatric cataract and corneal diseases.
